This policy explains how Rekall Industries Limited ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects information when you use the VAKT Home website, devices and app (together, "VAKT Home").

What VAKT Home is

VAKT Home is a wellness and activity monitor. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose or treat any condition, and it does not replace emergency services.

Information we never collect

VAKT Home has no camera, and nothing is worn on the body. Each node has a microphone, used only to recognize a spoken call for help. This happens on the node itself: audio is never recorded, stored or transmitted, and only a voice call event and its time are sent. We do not collect video, photographs or audio recordings from your home.

Information processed in the home

The nodes and hub process WiFi signal information inside the home to recognize movement, stillness, rest and possible falls. Spoken calls for help are recognized on the node in the same way. This raw signal information stays on the devices in the home and is not sent to us.

Information we collect

• Account information: your name, email address, phone number (if given) and your plan.
• Home and device information: hub and node identifiers, the room names you choose, and device status.
• Activity information: home status, activity and rest summaries, alerts (including voice calls for help) and their times.
• Orders: your name, email, phone, shipping address and what you ordered.
• Website enquiries: the details you send us through our forms.

How we use information

We use information to run your account and show you your home's status, send alerts and reports, provide support, keep VAKT Home secure, and improve the service. If you choose the monthly insights add-on, we use activity information to prepare trends and a written summary for you.

Payments

Hardware orders on our website, and the optional cellular service, are paid through Stripe. Plans and monthly insights are paid through the Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not receive or store your full card details. For website orders we keep your name, email, phone and shipping address to fulfil and support your order.

Where information is stored

VAKT Home runs on Google Cloud in the United States. Information is encrypted in transit.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run VAKT Home (such as cloud hosting and payment processing), where required by law, or with your permission.

How long we keep information

We keep activity and account information while your account is open. When you delete your account in the app, or ask us to, we delete its information within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep records such as order and payment history.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your information, and opt out of marketing emails at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws. Contact us using the details below.

Children

VAKT Home accounts are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

We'll post any changes to this policy on this page and update the effective date.
